You know you want an inclusive brand.
While disabled people make up 25% of the world’s population, they are only shown in media, marketing and entertainment 3.1% of the time. This may seem like an unfortunate accident, but did you know that there was a series of laws called The Ugly Laws that made it illegal for disabled people to even be seen in public - and the lack of representation in society today is reflective of the misunderstandings of disabled people since those times. The last of these laws was only overturned in the 1970s.
Disability DEIB isn’t just a feel good or moral initiative, it’s an investment in your business. Studies show that companies that prioritize disability initiatives average a 28% higher revenue.

What’s included each month?
Nuanced teaching
Each month will have a 10-15 minute video teaching session about topics that your company needs to know about when including disability within your workplace. Think of these as bite sized DEIB trainings that your team can use every single month that tackles both implicit bias and systemic ableism in your workplace, your communities and the world.
Who you should know
We’ll highlight amazing disabled creators, models, and professionals that can help make your campaigns come to life.
What to do
Each month will have one practical task that your team can take to expand your inclusion practices. We know you’re busy, we know you’ve got a lot on your plate, but we also know disability inclusion can’t wait. We’re taking the work off your plate by giving you one, simple task each month.
How to do it
The task we’ll provide as a challenge to include disabled people more robustly throughout your entire company will be simple, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be subtasks. We’ll provide a system to tackle the tasks, broken down into small steps, each month to expand what you’re doing to include disabled people into it.
Each month over 15 hours of research, strategy and development will go into The Business Edition of the Nuanced-letter.
